The only way for me to make it from start to finish and do some photography is by combining travelling with volunteering. My budget is simply not big enough for touristic touring. But to be honest, I am also not really interested in that. The most interesting moments I had so far, are the freestyle ones - by taking local routes, hitchhiking or getting lost and staying at a strangers house. I am trying to respond to people's kindness by being a positive guest, helping and sharing what I experienced. It's a wonderful and fun exchange, however, as inspiring it is, the reality taught me that there are many people in need and even when you're putting on the biggest smile, it always comes down to the same things: having food, education and healthcare. I am literally broke but I am still having the possibilities to get around, help and share which gives me the awareness for perspective. That's why I am trying to give back a bit if possible. If it's some money to repair a fisherman's net, donating my clothes or financially support my friend with his studies in Cambodia.
Whenever I am in more popular places, I usually use Booking.com to check for hostels and prices. If you want to support me with your own next journey then click on the button below or copy the url www.booking.com/s/ab0b3749 and insert it into the address bar. Once you made a booking above 30€ / US$35, stayed and checked out we will both get a reward.
